
Admiral Arthur Phillip RN Commemoration Service and Luncheon

Arthur Phillip was the Commander of the First Fleet that sailed in 1787 to found the colony of New South Wales which became the new nation of Australia.
Every year a Commemoration Service is held by the Admiral Phillip Memorial Trust to celebrate his achievements. An address on some aspect of his life is delivered and in 2015 this will be entitled “Governor Phillip and the convicts. Setting a foundation for the re-building of lives”.
The service is conducted by the Rev George Bush and is attended by senior representatives of the Australian diplomatic community and members of the City of London Corporation.
It is followed by a luncheon in the sumptuous Livery Hall of the Worshipful Company of Grocers.
The event is open to Members and Non Members.
