The Australia House Cricket Club plays the Sutton CC Sunday XI
Sutton Cricket Club is a quintessential English Cricket Club with a rich history. Originally formed in 1857 the club has survived two world wars (and the clubhouse being destroyed in the Battle of Britain) and has contributed a few players to the English Cricket Team. Most notably, W.C Grace was a guest player for the club in the late 1800’s and early 1900s!
When: Sunday 2 August 2015 – Players arrive no later than 12.30pm – Match starts 1.00pm

Directions to the Ground:
Travel along the M25 to junction 8. Then north on to the A217 for about 15-20 minutes. Ignoring signs for Sutton itself, stay on the A217 to the traffic lights at the cross-road with the A232, (Cheam High Street and Cheam Road.) Filter to the right and turn into the A232 (Cheam Road,) in the direction of Sutton. Travel for about 1/4 mile until you reach a mini roundabout. Take the first exit into Gander Green Lane and enter the cricket club immediately through entrances to the right.
West Sutton railway Station is about 1/3 mile from the ground in Gander Green Lane. It is served by Thameslink trains via Wimbledon or Sutton. Come out of West Sutton station and turn left into Gander Green Lane and continue along GGL until you reach the ground. Both Sutton and Cheam mainline stations are approximately ó mile from the ground.
The 413 Hoppa service runs past the ground down Gander Green Lane from Cheam Road. The bus will stop on request anywhere in Gander Green Lane. The bus leaves Sutton Town centre from outside the main post office. Routes 151 and 213 travel up and down Cheam Road, and also run from Sutton Town centre, a short walk from the rail station, and from Cheam. Stops both ways, are opposite the ground.
On approaching the grounds, you will see signage highlighting the cricket club AND Fitness4Less, a Health Club and Gymnasium business, that currently occupies part of the cricket club buildings. There are separate entrances to each organisation; and the grounds car park is used by patrons of both.
