ANZAC Centenary Service at Norwich Cathedral

ANZAC Centenary Service at Norwich Cathedral

26th April 2015
3:30pm to 4:30pm

The Dean of Norfolk Cathedral has agreed with the Norfolk Branch of the Britain-Australia Society to conduct a Centenary Service along with the Bishop of Lincoln.

Revd Canon Jane Hedges is the first female Dean in the Cathedral’s 900 year history. Canon Hedges was previously Canon Steward of Westminster Abbey. She was made a deaconess in 1980 and was ordained deacon when the Church of England changed its laws to allow female deacons in 1987. Canon Hedges was one of the first women to be ordained as a priest, in 1994.

This year is a most significant one for ANZAC and the service will be a wonderful opportunity to mark the occasion.

All members are welcome to attend. Please contact the Norfolk Branch for details.
