Cricket – BAS XI v Bradman Foundation XI
21st July 2015
12:00pm to 7:00pm
The Bradman Foundation XI are visiting the UK and will be playing our own “Britain-Australia Society XI” in July.
Eton College has confirmed that our match will be played on Agar’s Plough – the playing field where Wellington reportedly stated “the Battle of Waterloo was won”.
There is no charge for members and their guests – bring along a picnic as availability of catering facilities is scarce at the ground, but there are many opportunities to procure sustenance in Windsor and in Eton.
We are hoping to organise a guided tour of Eton for members and guests during the day.
12:00pm – Players arrive at Eton College
12:30pm – Players’ Lunch served at the pavilion
2pm – Play commences
4pm – Tea (change of innings)
7pm – Stumps
9pm – Players depart
The format of the match will be
- 40 overs per innings
- Maximum number of overs per bowler – 8
- No fielding restrictions
The Society has a confirmed list of 11 players for the game
Travel to Eton by train is to Windsor and Eton Riverside station – direct trains from Waterloo, or Windsor & Eton Central from Paddington, changing at Slough.
Cross the bridge and proceed straight down Eton High Street and you will come to the college after 10-12 minutes.
The ground is on the right hand side behind the college.
