    25th June 2017
    11:30am onwards

The Australia House Cricket Club will play against the Heytesbury & Sutton Veny Cricket Club on Sunday  25 June 2017 starting at 11:30am at Sutton Veny. This annual match is in partnership with the West Country Branch of the Britain-Australia Society and it is a match with meaning…

Sutton Veny is an English country village rich with Australian Military History.  It was the site of the largest Australian Imperial Force training and convalescent depots in Great Britain and the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in the grounds of St John’s Church contains 168 First World War burials, 144 of them are Australians and the local townspeople have tended the graves for nearly 100 years and are very welcoming to our visitors.

Car Parking: Adjacent Sutton Veny CoE Primary School. Postcode BA12 7AP.
Public Transport:  Trains depart Waterloo (via Salisbury) or Paddington (via Westbury) and take around 2 1/2 hours to Warminster. Sutton Veny is 3 miles from Warminster. You may like to consider making a weekend of it in Bath or Warminster.
