Sutton Veny is an English country village rich with Australian Military History. It was the site of the largest Australian Imperial Force training and convalescent depots in Great Britain and the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in the grounds of St John’s Church contains 168 First World War burials, 144 of them are Australians and the local townspeople have tended the graves for nearly 100 years and are very welcoming to our visitors.

Public Transport: Trains depart Waterloo (via Salisbury) or Paddington (via Westbury) and take around 2 1/2 hours to Warminster. Sutton Veny is 3 miles from Warminster. You may like to consider making a weekend of it in Bath or Warminster.
