The Australian High Commission Cricket Club plays a number of fixtures throughout the year against various high-profile regional and organisation teams. AHCC has extended the invitation for our members and their guests to attend as spectators. This is a rare opportunity, as some of the games are played in restricted private venues.

AHCC Australia House Cricket Club Team Windsor

This game is certainly in a special venue – Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s private estate at Windsor Castle. As you might expect, security at this ground is very tight and pre-registration is mandatory. If your name is not on the police list at the entry gates then you will be refused admission.

There is no charge but we can only submit the names of members of the Britain-Australia Society and bona-fide guests for whom you can vouch.

All names and car registrations must be provided on or before 5pm on Friday, May 24th and photo-id (matching the name supplied) must be taken with you. Please also provide a contact mobile number and how many want tea.

(if the button above doesn’t work for you
please email email hidden; JavaScript is required instead)

You are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch – or join in on the Players’ Tea. For the latter there is a nominal charge of £6. Please let us know if you want tea.

Play commences at 2pm. Please try to arrive between 1:30pm and 2pm. Outside of those times the walk-in and drive-in gates will be manned sporadically. Please wait there, or call Dale’s mobile (provided on booking) and we will get someone to go to the gate for you.

    Umpires and Scorers
    – If you’re able to help umpire for part of the day do please let us know. Umpires need to be dressed appropriately (shoes, shirt and long trousers)

Weather / cancellation – We have been lucky in recent years and we hope to be again. We do need a mobile number for your party in case of problems with access, and to inform if the event has to be cancelled.

Spectating Players – If you have room in your car/backpack you may like to bring your playing kit just in case (not to mention a picnic lunch)

Facilities – Normal cricket club facilities are available including a bar with snacks, etc. There are some very impressive photographs hanging on the walls of the clubhouse! Badges, ties, shirts etc. are also available.

Dogs/kangaroos – you’re permitted to bring your canine/marsupial companion but it must be kept under control and on lead at all times.

Directions: Walk-in access is from the Long Walk in Windsor Great Park (driving directions will be supplied to applicants who provide their car model and registration).
