    The Speaker of the House of Commons, The Rt Hon John Bercow MP, has graciously allowed that the Society can visit the State Apartments of the Speaker.

    These are magnificent rooms in the Palace of Westminster and it is a privilege to be afforded this opportunity.

    Canapés will comprise:
      Flaked beef, tarragon, piccalilli dressing, crunchy vegetables
      Smoked duck with pickled blackberry and port, parsley cress
      Smoked trout, avocado lime and chilli, on pumpernickel
      Minted broad bean panna-cotta, oven dried tomato and black Kalamata olive
      Cornish brie, red onion and chive quiche
      Prawn and ginger wantons with soy and honey dip
      Cajun salmon skewers with lime and coriander mayonnaise
      Seared peanut satay chicken skewers
      Lightly curried vegetable samosas with piquillio pepper dip
      Strawberry and lychee jelly

    Wines from the cellars of the House of Commons will be served.

    • Mr Bercow will make an appearance if possible, but this is completely subject to his obligations to Parliament.
    • The security entrance through which members access the venue is found at Portcullis House (SW1A 2JR) but the Speakers Apartment’s are located at SW1A 0AA
