The Keys Ceremony at The Tower of London

The Keys Ceremony at The Tower of London

29th March 2012

Join us on this unmissable Private Tour of the Tower of London.  We have planned a privileged viewing of The Ceremony of The Keys, a 600 year old tradition that takes place every night to safeguard the Crown Jewels.  At exactly 21.53hrs the Chief Yeoman Warder, carrying a candle lantern in one hand and with the Queen’s Keys in the other, walks towards Traitor’s Gate to meet the Foot Guards who escort him throughout the ceremony.

Witness the Ceremony at close hand and experience history as it happens!

7.15pm – Meet at the West Gate (Main entrance) of the Tower at 7.15pm to register.
7.25pm- A one hour tour of the Tower will commence.
8.30pm – A Tower Supper will be served in the Yeoman Warders Wardroom before the ceremony begins.  Upon booking an email will be sent offering you the available choice.
9.30pm – Ceremony of the Keys.
10.00pm – The Bar is open until 11.00pm or you may leave. (Which makes you very lucky as most never leave!!!!)

DRESS CODE: No Jeans or Trainers.  Gentlemen are required to wear a Jacket & Tie.  An umbrella is wise if it looks like rain or is raining.  Wrap up warm!

Always an extremely popular event so please book early!
