The Strand Walking Tour

The Strand Walking Tour

24th January 2018
6:00pm to 9:00pm

A personalised, guided walk
followed by refreshments in Australia Centre.

Join Hazel, a qualified London guide, for a 90 minute tour exploring the curiosities and side streets of the Strand. Hear how fairies saved a man from the death penalty and how 32 men chose to drink themselves to death. Follow in the footsteps of Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling and Chris Hemsworth. A theatrical ghost adds to a range of eclectic historic stories on this guided walk. Please come along and enjoy both an interesting and sociable evening, discovering the eclectic history surrounding the Strand area of London.

There is surely to be something of interest to everyone on this tour and for those who know London well, they are sure to be disorientated by the street meandering.

The meeting point for the tour is Paul’s Patisserie Kiosk, 11 The Strand starting at 6pm

We will end up at Australia House at 7.30pm where we will then enjoy some cheese and wine in Australia Centre.

Please do join us for what promises to be an enjoyable winter walk! Spaces are limited to 25 so book early to avoid disappointment.
