    Public consultations on future trade agreements

    At an speech hosted by the Federation of Small Businesses, Dr Liam Fox, the International Trade Secretary, announced public consultations ahead of negotiations on future trade agreements. 

    The UK has a stated intention to prioritise free trade agreements with the US, Australia and New Zealand. Access to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) is also on the radar.

    UK exports to Australia are growing at 14.8%, faster than both the global average and export growth to the EU.
