Britain-Australia Society Education Trust Cadets complete voyage

    Published 7th August

Two young Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme cadets from Victoria, Karl Derndorfer and Owen Brond, were granted Endeavour Awards by the Britain-Australia Society Education Trust (BASET) to join other cadets and wounded military veterans on the first leg of ‘Lord Dannatt’s Round Britain Challenge on HMS Nelson, a tall ship specially modified to combine able-bodied crew with others less abled, which set sail for Edinburgh from the Pool of London on Thursday 26th July. BASET has been very grateful to be in partnership with the Jubilee Sailing Trust who own HMS Nelson and have organised the Challenge.
