Dear Members and Friends,
As we all begin the summer break with restrictions easing, this will be your last regular newsletter until September. The team and I have loved hearing from you all over the past few months, your stories, optimism and community spirit have reflected the strong and vibrant Anglo-Australian community the BAS works to support.
Whist we look forward to the second half of the year and (we hope!) announcements on when we can all gather in person again, the BAS is also looking back to our history as we plan our 50th Anniversary celebrations for next year. Our National Director has been looking through the archives and as a taster has included a photo from a previous summer dinner hosted by our forerunner, The Australia Club, at The Dorchester in June 1939!
With so much to look forward to, now is a perfect time to renew your membership or encourage family and friends to sign up for the first time. Your ongoing support will help ensure that the BAS stays strong for the next 50 years.
Wishing you all a safe and restful summer break, Jacqui and I will be enjoying ours a little closer to home this year, styled in Marina's fabulous masks!
